The Capital has a cool new rooftop bar. Upper 5th, in Shoreditch, occupies the 5th floor  of the newly opened Courthouse Hotel and rewards visitors with spectacular views of the London skyline.

We're told the design vibe sets out to emulate contemporary New York, albeit with a little London opulence. There’s room for up to 180 guests, with standing tables amid potted greenery. The Garden is a reservation only area, with table service and inviting cabana sofa-‐bed seating.

Both areas offer a cocktail menu, devised by resident mixologist, Danut Fundulea. The menu features a variety of small plates and sharer options.

Upper 5th is open from 3pm (midweek) and 12pm (weekends) till 11pm. Virtual DJs  spin dance tunes and house every weekend.
