Buster + Punch will unveil The Hero Light (pictured above) at LightJunction, DesignJunction’s ‘show within a show ’ this September. The event, which is expanding into The Sorting Office’s basement for the first time, is rapidly becoming a leading UK platform for home grown and international lighting brands.

London-born Buster + Punch, created by architect and interior designer Massimo Buster Minale, specialises in lighting, furniture and limited editions seemingly inspired by the traditional blacksmiths of yesterday. The Hero Light is made from hand-formed 3mm bronzed gun metal and solid knurled brass soaked in olive oil, with matte rubber detailing and finished with eco-friendly LED bulbs. It has been designed by Massimo Minale.

Barcelona-based Marset is bringing six new lighting collections to the show, including  Discocó by Christophe Mathieu (pictured below), Santorini by Sputnik Estudio, FollowMe by Inma Bermúdez, Hazy Day by Uli Budde and Ginger and Polo both by Joan Gaspar.

Glassblowing artisans Brokis, headquartered in the Czech Republic, will use LightJunction to launch the MONA pendant lamp (pictured below). Available with either textile straps or in a floor lamp version with a glass shade, the MONA showcases traditional glassblowing techniques for a modern audience. Brokis will also debut Line, a new lamp collection designed by Tomáš Král.
