Lights & Lamp is a new, online resource for design-led, high-street lighting. The brainchild of lighting expert Niki Wright, the new company marks the first time Wright’s designs are available direct to homeowners and designers.
For interior designers, it’s an opportunity to execute high-end lighting design within budgets large and small. The launch range is rich in variety, from hand-woven rattan to polished crystal.
Wright has spent over 15 years designing and developing best-selling lighting ranges for the British high street and has established Lights & Lamps as the new go-to brand for stylish lighting solutions.
The brand has launched with four inaugural collections; Artis, Ridotti, Pico and Imperial, although the website offers over 70 individual designs in total for customers to choose from.
The Sci-Fi inspired Artis collection features a duo of space-age designs. A simple table lamp, with exposed glass bulb and brass body is the ideal bedside or home office companion. The celestial Sputnik chandelier, meanwhile, is a fun statement piece, featuring six glass bulbs which stem from a satellite-shaped body.
The Ridotti range comprises two models: a floor lamp and hanging pendant, both of which ooze retro glamour. Drawing inspiration from the current trend for natural, handmade products, each Ridotti lampshade has been crafted from raffia palm, contrasting with Lights & Lamps’ signature brass body. The Ridotti collection is a match for boho-inspired interiors, but sits equally at home with Scandi-styles. Both lamps, with their supernova-shaped designs, radiate a golden hue which contribute a warmth and richness to the lighting design. The Ridotti range is available in two colourways, Light Natural and Matt Black.
Next up, the Pico range is the perfect example of Lights & Lamps’ mix-and-match offering. With prices ranging from £32 to £69, this quartet of minimalist light fittings truly offer something for every homeowner. Pico includes four separate fittings – an exposed hanging pendant, floor lamp, table lamp and four-bulb flush light – each encased in a matte black finish.
Finally, the Imperial collection comprises four different models; a minimalist wall light, three-bulb hanging pendant, five-bulb brass and opal flush light and a six-bulb brass and opal pendant. Each light is characterised by circular shapes and a brass body, which contrasts beautifully with the opal glass bulbs. The end result is a lighting range that embodies classic design shapes with a contemporary twist.
The Artis, Ridotti, Pico and Imperial lighting collections are available online here.
