Blackpop, an independent British label specialising in designing distressed wallpaper, fabric and upholstered is launchiing a new collection of wallpapers and fabrics at Decorex in September. The Collector’s Collection is inspired by the Sir John Soane’s Museum, London’s hidden treasure trove of antiquities.

Collaborating with the museum and directly working and reworking architects’ drawings, paintings and objects d'art, Blackpop hails the range as its most dramatic work to date.

The Collector’s Collection consists of five new wallpaper designs, three new fabric designs and two hand woven rugs.

"Our design approach isn’t to copy existing motifs, it’s a creative process of dismantling, reassigning and combining to create works of art in their own right,” says Blackpop.

Prices start at £144pm for fabric and £216 per roll for wallpaper RRP (a percentage of each sale goes directly to Sir John Soane’s Museum).

In addition to the new wallpapers and fabrics, Blackpop is also excited to announce another new collaboration with London-based contemporary producers Knots Rugs, creating 3 stunning hand- woven pieces. Made in Nepal and Jaipur using age-old techniques, these beautiful pieces are a first for Blackpop and a development which sees their place in the world of interiors go from strength to strength.
