A former Digital Editor of the Society of British Interior Design (SBID), David also writes regular articles for trade-facing magazines.

Initially as a furniture designer and manufacturer, also playing an active role on the board of the BDG (British Design Group), Having spent 15 years as Director of Studies of a Design school in London, Simon launched London based Scarib Ltd in early 2008 and was short-listed for the commercial section of the International FX Design awards in 2010. Scarib works across different sectors from healthcare and hospitality to high-end residential projects, taking a sensitive approach to contemporary and historic projects and developing successful spaces in the UK and internationally. Simon was the first elected Chairman of the IDDA and the first Chairman of the BIDA before sitting as a board member of the IFI for two terms.
